A Wonderful Educational Environment
Staglands Wildlife Reserve provides a wonderful educational environment for school groups, offering fantastic learning opportunities that reflect the NZ Curriculum.
These experiences cannot be replicated in the classroom. Bookings are essential and it is highly recommended that you book as early as possible to ensure that your preferred date is available. Click here to contact us.
Special School Rate $8.00 Per Person available to:
Pre-school groups (for adults and children aged 2 years and up. Children under 2 years are free).
School groups (including Secondary)
Special Needs & Disabled Groups
Special School Holiday Programme Rate - $11.00 Per Person
We have a special school holiday programme rate of $11.00 for adults and children available. Advance booking required.
Other Groups - $24.00 for Adults / $11.00 for Children
Discounted admission available for groups of 10 paying people or more. To qualify for this rate, you must pay as a group.

Your group can use The Barn as a central meeting point, and you are welcome to bring your own lunch or book our special BBQ pack.
There is plenty of space to park cars and buses and our Staglands Café is open every day, so parents and teachers can enjoy a well-earned coffee.

We have a range of activity sheets that can be completed by all ages which include:
Activity sheet (for children of all ages) Dot-to-dot, word find, & word puzzle
Spot The Difference. (ideal for primary age children)
Please note the following conditions apply:
Not available to pre-schools and schools at weekends and during public holidays.
Under fours in a pre-school group are $8.00.
Pre-school groups must pay as a group and not individually.
Note: Some pre-school groups prefer to use the normal group rate. For more information go to our hours & prices page
Special School BBQ Package-$16.00 per person
Includes admission and following BBQ lunch: 1 x sausage, bread & onions Juice-jugs of Raro Your choice of a fruit platter or 1 x cupcake per person Additional sausage, bread & onions is $3.00 each
We provide all the utensils and equipment - all you need to provide is an adult to cook the sausages.
Minimum of 12 children required.
Don’t forget Staglands is well equipped for special occasions such as children’s birthday parties, special events and for weddings and receptions!
