Celebrate their birthday at Staglands

Kids just love Staglands - and what better way to share it with their friends and family than to celebrate their birthday at the wildest little venue in Wellington?

Our wildlife park provides the best opportunities for memorable photos! Invite the cousins and the grandparents and turn it into a fun family activity.

Our birthday party package is ideally suited for children from three years to ten years.

Please note, children are welcome to celebrate their birthday at Staglands without purchasing our party package. The Barn is a great place for a family get together or use one of the many picnic areas. The BBQ areas are covered with plenty of seating and all have great views. Please contact us for more details.

A Party at Staglands

'The Nook', a separate room within The Café, which can fit up to 15 people seated, will be set aside for 90 minutes. Afterwards we will tidy and clear the room ready for other customers. If you have more than 15 people in your group, your party will be held in The Barn.

We provide simple room decoration plus birthday plates, party hats and serviettes for each child. Alternatively, you are welcome to decorate the room yourself. Please indicate if you wish to do this when you book.

Hire of ‘The Nook’ for 90 minutes
Free animal food for all children to feed birds and animals.
Choice of five kids sharing platters prepared by our café.

Birthday Child will also receive a free return family pass to Staglands (valued at $78)
10% discount for Staglander members (*birthday child must be part of the membership holders’ household)

Slots available:

Two slots are available. Bookings can be made for:
11.00am – 12.30pm or 1.30pm – 3.00pm

Not available on public holiday weekends, or public holidays.

Terms & Conditions

A minimum 50% deposit is required to book your party.

All children must eat the same platters - individual choices are not available.

The party food will be served at 11.30am and 2.00pm

You are welcome to make any changes to your booking up until 4 days prior to your party including:
*Amending guest numbers
*Adding food options
*Changing date
*Or cancelling (note: 20% of amount paid is non-refundable in this instance)

Children that do not show up on the day are non-refundable.

A wonderful, refreshing animal park that encourages interaction with and respect for the animals, not just staring at them through cages. Guests are encouraged to walk amongst the animals, approach them if they are willing, feed them and generally spend time amongst them. Beautifully landscaped and organized in a clean but not "Disney-esque" way. Kids who love animals but don't get a chance to interact with them will love this place, as did ours. Please don't let this place change. An hour sitting high on the hill amongst the deer, sheep and goats was just wonderful.

First time visiting Staglands. I was absolutely in awe. With the sun shinning brightly, and the sound of peakocks shrieking amongst the back drop I felt blessed. So many wondering walkways to follow, waterfalls cascading and bridges to either cross or have a dab at keeping your balance as you jump up and down. You will definitely want to return, perhaps with picnic basket as I will be doing next time.

Such a cool experience! Love this place! Better than Wellington zoo in my opinion and my family of 6 all agree. The wildlife is treated well and genuinely cared for. The interactive experience is amazing and the surroundings and overall design/layout and feel of this reserve is outstanding.

Omg what a hidden gem! we had an absolutely amazing day. We had lunch in the cafe which was beautiful and sat next to the warm fire because it wasn't a warm day but beautifully sunny.
